Our College of Engineering at Pune is one of our leading Institutions of which we are immensely proud. It is now being recognized as a throbbing center of academic activities including research, academic innovations, mega academic events such as international conferences, seminars and the like at the national level.
The college has earlier organized three international conferences on "Nano Technology" in the years 2010, 2012 and 2014, sequentially this Nanocon 018 now. As all of us are aware that the developments in the fields of Nano Sciences and Nano Technology are going to cause revolutionary changes in all the fields encompassing our day-to-day life. I am happy that the College is giving very enthusiastic response to this developing area of research and knowledge.
I am greatly impressed by the fact that the College is organizing this conference in collaboration with several other renowned overseas academic Institutions such as North Carolina A & T State University (NCAT), Greensboro, USA, Tuskegee University, Alabama and The University of Tokushima, Japan.
I would like to congratulate Dr. Anand Bhalerao, Principal of this College and his colleagues for taking initiative in organizing this fourth international conference on this important theme. This conference I am sure will provide a very appropriate platform for knowledge sharing among the experts from both India and abroad.

I feel indeed very happy to learn that Bharati Vidyapeeth University's College of Engineering , Pune is organizing the 4th International Conference "Nanocon 018 on 18-19 October, 2018 .The academic dynamism of the university and of the college is reflected in the fact that this particular Conference is being organized in the emerging discipline of Nanotechnology and Nanosciences. I still remember very vividly the earlier two such successful International Conferences organized by this college in 2010 and 2014.
The increasing multi dimensional importance of Nanotechnology and the immense benefits that can be derived from its use for national development cannot be over emphasized. A distinct feature of Nano Technology is that it covers areas across different disciplines and deals with the matter at both micro and macro levels.
